Our Canine Training Program is in full swing! New classes will begin on June 12, 2010. We will have a Puppy Kindergarten and a Canine Good Citizen Class. We will also have a Puppy Class-Part 2 for previous students if there is sufficient interest.
Puppy Kindergarten
This will be basic obedience, socialization, and lots of fun! This class is
for puppies between the ages of 8 weeks to 6 months. It is an 8 week class. Puppies are required to have their first distemper vaccination, have a negative fecal exam, and be free of fleas and other external parasites. They must also have been in your possession for at least 2 weeks and shown no signs of any contagious disease.
Canine Good Citizen
This is also an 8 week class. It will cover the basic behaviors deemed to
be needed for a Canine Good Citizen. Please see www.akc.org and search for Canine Good Citizen for more information.
Puppy Part 2
This will be a continuation of Puppy Kindergarten.

Griffin Pond Animal Shelter Spring/Summer Cat Adoption Special!
Give an adult cat a home and pay no adoption fees starting May 1st!
Male and Female cats over 1 yr old may be adopted at no cost. Each cat will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated for distemper, wormed for hook and roundworms and flea treated!

 Dr.
Colin Jeschke is originally from Baltimore, Maryland.
He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry
from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland in 1981.
He then attended the University of Glasgow, Scotland,
where he obtained his degree in Veterinary Medicine
in 1986. He worked with a mixed animal practice in the
south of England for about 6 months prior to returning
to the U.S. He has been practicing veterinary medicine
in Pennsylvania since 1987. He was employed by Dalton
Veterinary Associates until 1999. In June of that year
he founded Abington Veterinary Center, and has been
here ever since.
